Regis Le Bris has revealed that before each game Enzo Le Fee and Habib Diarra agree between themselves who will take a penalty for Sunderland, with the Lads generally seeing spot-kick success after last season's penalty nightmare. In other news, he spoke highly of Nilson Angulo who put in a real shift at Elland Road on the right wing.
TWO TAKERS
"We have two, Enzo and Habib at the minute. They change every game. It was Habib's at Leeds and he scored. He didn't know how! We had the conversation this morning and he told me he used to run and break the steps with the idea to watch the goalkeeper's behaviour, and something went wrong. It is what it is, but he scored at the end and he was happy. They know before the game who will be the first taker and then who will be the second."
SURPRISE FACTOR?
"For the opposition I'm not sure [if there is a surprise factor] because everyone has data analysis now, so you know exactly the last 20 or 30 penalties from everyone. But for our players it's good to be clear at the beginning and if you have two or three takers it's better."
CAN ANGULO BE A SUCCESS?
“Yes, I think so. He's young and he's still adapting to a new team and a new level. He has the profile to be a strong winger in the Premier League, 100%. After that, it's a question of adaptation. His physicality is huge in the Premier League. We spoke this morning about the experience in Bournemouth. It was tough, but his response was really positive, which shows that he has this ability now. When he starts again, it's a bit different. When you come off the bench, the story of the game is a bit different. I think it will be good getting out of the bench. Now, starting is a bit different, but I hope it will be good soon.”
