'TIL THE END

At the age of 70, it lifts my heart when I bump into my O-Level English teacher still at the match. He must have been straight out of college when he was teaching us, a big shout out for John “Paddy” Doyle.
On another note, can someone make a plea for ‘til the end, a fantastic strap line that’s carried us on. The apostrophe shows the bit that’s missing. Until the end! Till (sic) the end makes me think a farmer is going to plough up one of the six yard boxes. There are plenty of scarves with the same grammatical mistake. I hope they are not official merchandise but I'm not convinced.
It sounds grumpy and pedantic (yes) but Paddy would have bollocked me for it and maybe even suspended me from one of our lunch time video reruns of the 1973 cup final, possibly in the timetable as extra homework.
‘Til the end.
