RLB SEES PROGRESS

ree

Regis Le Bris is encouraged by his side's improvement over the duration of this pre-season period but admits the Lads need to show more cutting edge in front of goal come the start of this Premier League season.

BETTER EVERY GAME

“We are a work in progress. After the game you can feel that the team is improving in different areas."

NEED TO BE CLINICAL

“I think we created many chances. We are not clinical – still an important part – because if we do that in the Premier League, we won’t have many chances and we have to be very clinical when we get this opportunity."

STARTING TO GEL

“Out of possession, we worked well. We can feel that week after week, they are getting better because the fitness level is higher now and the references are better. The new connections take time and we need many experiences to develop this part of the group. We need this kind of game – sometimes we lose it, sometimes we win – to get this experience. We have to keep the identity. We have to play as a unit and give the new connections time, but we feel like we are improving.”

DOUBLE HEADER

"It's a really good set up for our squad. (Against Augsburg) we pushed until 90 minutes for everyone and for the current finishers, because we will need everyone involved, they will play almost 90 minutes (vs Vallecano). It's a real positive. The team will be a bit younger but we'll have players involved who could start in this team, so it will be very interesting."
