RLB PRE CARDIFF

Regis Le Bris has taken the week to analyse our key weaknesses in play and try to correct them so we don't see a repeat performance of Hull in our last home game. Including his efforts to try and manage the squad to reduce fatigue which was evident in our last outing against Sheffield Wednesday which saw us rest key players such as Wilson Isidor and Chris Rigg.

IMPORTANT WEEK

"It was an important week because we had time to review the games, this game especially. It was a short period of time to reset our analysis about our game model, what we have to improve. What we are doing well, as well, and I think because this league is long, with different opponents, different scenarios, emotions as well, it's important to keep our consistency."

IMPROVED ALL SEASON

"We improved massively our way of playing from the beginning of the season to now. Sometimes we can struggle a little bit because we have opponents with different obstacles. We are learning from every experience and I think this week was important for that. It showed that sometimes because we are moving forward, if we lose specific focus it could be a step back because we think it's consistent."

TRYING TO MAINTAIN INTENSITY

"If we don't pay attention about the specific elements we can struggle and I think it was important this week. We'll reduce the volume a little bit and we want to keep the intensity."

MANAGE THE FATIGUE

"We want to manage the fatigue because it's not only about the legs but the head and the brain, the enthusiasm that we have to have to play good football. Sometimes [it's] a little bit more difficult but because we love football, we like this activity. It's still the connection about the game, if we play with our strength and reinforce our confidence, because we know that we can play well and just make some adjustments to address our weaknesses, we can move forward."

DOES HE HAVE TO MOTIVATE THE LADS NOW?

"I don't think so. I think if we are focused on our game and the willingness to win the next one, it's our job. Sometimes when you are chasing second place you can have extra motivation, but it's not the main motivation when the main motivation is to play, to win. After that, we can control some elements, but the others are out of control. If Leeds, Sheffield United or Burnley are doing well until the end of the season and we finish in fourth place with a great amount of points, it's good for us. If the opponents are better than us we have to accept that."
