Trai Hume had four yellow cards in six games at the start of the campaign, which meant the last five games have seen Hume play knowing that another yellow would result in a one game suspension. However, in the last six games Hume has managed to not pick up any further bookings which has earned him some praise from the gaffer.
TOO INTENSE
"You can see when a player has to manage a new condition, he can change his behaviour. He was very intense, probably too much. I remember the situation at home a big tackle very early in the game. It was a yellow, probably a red card."
IMPROVING HIS BEHAVIOUR
"He didn't play like that later. He's managed the situation very well. It's good for him, it's making him think differently and he's improving his behaviour. I'm very happy."
Trai Hume isn't the only player one caution away from a suspension though, Chris Rigg and Patrick Roberts are also one away from missing a game. With that in mind, Regis Le Bris seems confident that if any of our players are suspended we will have enough depth to cover them.
OTHER PLAYERS ARE READY
"We know we have many players with four yellow cards. We don't know when it will happen. Trai has managed six games in a row without getting a yellow card and maybe he will last. But Dan [Ballard] is ready, which is good for us."
