REINILDO ON FIRST GAME

One of our new summer additions, Reinildo, spoke following his first runout in a Sunderland kit against Real Betis.

HOW DOES IT FEEL?

“I’m feeling so good to be here in Sunderland and to play here in this very beautiful ground, very beautiful stadium with the supporters for the first time. Also, I’m feeling so amazing, so good and very very happy. The first impression was, wow.”

PUSHING ON UNTIL START OF SEASON

“Yes, of course, now it has been the first minutes for me with my team. So, we keep going, we keep pushing for myself and as a team because we have a time when we need to improve, we need to do more but in a good way to be there. We keep pushing, we will keep fighting until the beginning of the season.”

FIRST FEW WEEKS IN SUNDERLAND

“Everyone was very very good, even my teammates. The staff treated me like I’m at home. They made me feel like this for the first time when I met them in Portugal, so I’m very happy and I’m here to help my team, to help the club and to do our job.”

EXCITEMENT FOR FIRST GAME

“Yes, we know we have two more games of the preseason, so, I think we are in a good way to be ready for the first game in the league. That’s why I said, keep going, keep working until the first game.”
