PLAYER RATINGS: EVERTON

Sunderland shared the points with Everton, recovering from an opening 35 minutes, mired by poor officiating and individual errors, that saw us go behind. The point takes us up to fourth in the Premier League but I can’t help but feel disappointed that we didn’t take full advantage of this game, especially with the fixtures only getting harder from this point on.
ROBIN ROEFS: 7/10
Wasn’t terribly busy as he faced two shots on target, one of which he couldn’t do much to prevent finding the back of the net and the other he saved. Long balls all over the shop.
NORDI MUKIELE: 7/10
A very good second half and a bit of a shaky first. Almost won it for us and generated a lot of threat with his long throwing and runs down the right wing.
DAN BALLARD: 8.5/10
Struggled initially, then really grew into it and was untouchable. Bailed us out big time towards the end.
LUTSHAREL GEERTRUIDA: 7/10
Fairly solid from him, didn’t notice any glaring errors. Also (for people who like stats), he was the most accurate passer to play more than 45 minutes.
TRAI HUME: 6/10
Noticed him struggling in particular in the first 35 minutes, giving the ball away on a number of occasions. Did fine from then onwards.
BERTRAND TRAORE: 7.5/10
I’m pretty happy with his performance, he made a few runs forward and had a decent number of shots.
GRANIT XHAKA: 7.5/10
Absolutely buzzing to see him score his first goal for the club, a really well taken strike. Unfortunately I can’t give him a really high rating though because he could have cost us a few times today with some sloppiness.
REINILDO: 7.5/10
Really good in the second half, causing them all sorts of bother down his side. Decent defensively too.
NOAH SADIKI: 7/10
His usual, involved, self. Maybe let passion get in the way of good decision making once or twice though.
WILSON ISIDOR: 7/10
Made a really good run at one point and got a shot away. Struggled to get the better of their defenders in general but did force a save from Pickford at one point.
ENZO LE FEE: 7.5/10
Assisted the equaliser and did cause a few problems for Everton at various points but was quite wasteful throughout.
SUBS:
CHEMSDINE TALBI: N/A
Just five touches, didn’t have enough time to make an impact. I think he should have been brought on sooner.
BRIAN BROBBEY: N/A
Some decent off-the-ball work but was only able to make one touch. Should have been brought on a little earlier.
