Regis Le Bris has spoken further following on from our second Premier League win on the spin.

PLEASED WITH THE WIN?

“Absolutely, it was important for us to break the difficult run we had at home. We were good at the beginning of the season with a long run undefeated and it’s hard to restart after three weeks. It was an unknown opponent today, it was a bit hard to prepare but I think the Lads showed good energy, good togetherness, once again. It was a question of key moments and when we had the opportunity to score, we did it. I’m happy.”

NEW SPURS BOSS

“We tried to combine the style of Tottenham with their players and his ideas. It was a gamble, a bet, but we finally thought it was more about adaptability. We now have good knowledge and I think the players are able to manage problems in real time. I think it’s key at this level and they did well.”

TRAINING

“The week was really good. We felt, this week, during training sessions that there was high ambition. I repeat, it’s about the daily sessions. You can say you want to achieve something, this or that, but the reality is it’s the way you train, the way you work hard. As players and as a team, I appreciated the energy this week and I’m happy we can do it when it’s important and that was the case today.”

MUKIELE

“We have many good players and Nordi was injured. I’m really pleased with his performance and, obviously, when you score it gives something more. He was exhausted at the end and Trai did well to replace him.”

PHYSICAL GAME

“Tottenham are intense, physical and it’s a Premier League game so the intensity is always high. We had a period in the second half, it was a basketball game, we had the opportunity to, probably, kill the game but we didn’t. We still have room for improvement in the final third and in the last choice to make the difference.”

CONNECTION WITH THE FANS

“I think the connection at home is perfect, away as well. We feel that the supporters, when we need high energy and that extra drive, are behind us which is really positive.”
