Sunderland fan and country artist Amy Alexander held a surprise performance at the Gibson Garage in Nashville on Monday for the Lads, while the team visited the city as part of their USA pre-season tour.
Amy, who is from Britain but moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music, performed one of her original songs “Any Way Together” followed by Elvis anthem “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, with husband Brandon Bernstein accompanying on guitar.
Amy and Brandon went viral on TikTok last May for their reaction to SAFC’s promotion as ‘Nashville’s only two Sunderland fans’. Over a year later, that moment came full circle with the club inviting them to perform for the Lads and teach them a guitar lesson at the Gibson Guitar flagship showroom.
The private guitar lesson turned into a spontaneous rendition of “Wonderwall”, led by Leo Hjelde on the acoustic guitar! Reinildo Mandava, Alan Browne and Jenson Seelt were also in attendance to embrace Nashville’s music heritage.
Amy is set to release her highly-anticipated debut EP this autumn, following the successful release of her debut singles in 2025.
