With Sunderland winless in six, this Saturday's game is a crucial one for Regis Le Bris to fix his side's dip in form. We're still fourth in the league but with a few recent wins it could have been so much sweeter. Here's what RLB said in his pre-match presser...
EFFICIENCY IN FRONT OF GOAL
“It is difficult to assess what we need to be more efficient. In the last three games, we created many chances but in these games, we only picked up two points which isn’t great. It is a question of collective dynamic and improving many, many details.
TEAM EFFORT AND BELIEF
“We have the potential and the players in the team to do it. It is not the cognitive part of a game that we need to improve. It is more about believing, it is about having more intensity, pushing with the good qualities of a young team. We need to push and we will see.
LOOKING FORWARDS POSITIVELY
“We can trust our players, our culture, and our team. Now we have to push a little bit more and this part of the season is very positive for that because we are in the right place. Now we have to believe in our qualities. Until the fifth of January, we will have eight games and five of them are at home. It will be very important to deal with this period properly because it can make all the difference."
WANT TO BOUNCE BACK
“We are still in a good place and we have a good culture. We were really disappointed after the Sheffield game because it was very clear that we dominated the game but we lost. It is the reality and we have to deal with it, but the foundations are good, and this period is a good opportunity to get back into the first part of the table with the good quality we have.”
