Dear ALS

Just wanted to say that despite the loss, I’ve never been more encouraged as a Sunderland fan. I’m approaching 20 years watching Sunderland, and never in that time have I seen a manager so humble that he makes wholesale changes and alters the shape twice in one game. (Much less at the 35th minute!)

Most of our past managers would have accepted defeat and just tried to do damage control, but Regis kept trying different things until end.

I love how in his press conferences he always talks about the different problems to solve. It shows me that he’s always thinking and is adaptable to whatever the EPL throws at him. I don’t want this to go on too long, but I’ll summarize it by saying that my hope of Sunderland teams in the PL of the past were limited to can we survive. I honestly feel like with RLB I think it’s a matter of how high we can go.
