WRIGHT ON LATE POINT

After a tough stalemate last night, Bailey Wright spoke about the game and what the result means to us heading into Saturday.

PHYSICAL

“It was a tough and physical game, going into it we knew it would be. Rotherham are a good side and they are where they are for a reason, they’ve been doing it all season and it was a competitive game.”

COULD’VE BEEN WORSE

“With the balance of the game I felt we could probably go on and nick it, but at the end of the day a draw is not the end of the world. Keep the momentum going and push on and recover for Saturday.”

IN OUR HANDS

“Obviously we wanted to win this game, we setup to win the game, we believed we could and maybe with the rub of the green we probably could’ve got it. Now we go to Saturday and like any game we go into it to win a game of football. It’s in our hands, we’ve put ourselves in this position, recover and we’re ready to go again.”

WE’LL TAKE IT

“They are where they are for a reason. They are good at what they do, they’re a good squad they’ve been doing it all season, we knew what they’re about. We knew it’d be a tough and physical game, I think we matched that, maybe moments of quality throughout the pitch we probably could’ve been a bit better, but a draw we’ll take that against a good side."

GOOD GAME

“We knew it was never going to be easy, they’re a tough side to get a result against, but if anything I felt we could have been the team that nicked it. Bar my little dodgy bit at the end there keeping them on their toes. It was a good game, it was an intense game and we move on.”

LUCK

“A little bit of luck with an own goal, but when you’ve got people like Clarkey putting in deliveries like that, I know as a defender how hard deliveries like that are to defend and that’s what can happen, we put in some dangerous deliveries."

MOMENTUM

“I felt momentum was on our side, I felt the crowd really got behind us we could feel the atmosphere could almost feel that, maybe they felt they might lose the game, that’s how it felt out there on the pitch. I guess we take the draw and to come back from one-nil down, obviously the goal was frustrating and one we’ll look at, but we take confidence from it and we keep building.”

MASSIVE SATURDAY

“When you play for this club every game is a massive game, Saturday just highlights that even more. We want to make sure we secure a playoff place and we have an opportunity to do that Saturday. We’ll recover now and take confidence from the game tonight and look to go and win on Saturday.”
