WINCHESTER "WE'VE GOT QUALITY"

January recruit, Conor Winchester is feeling upbeat after the victory over Swindon Town and looks to keep up the unbeaten run of recent with a win at the weekend against Rochdale.

“It was good to get the win and the three points is obviously the most important thing, it was frustrating at times because team come here and just sit in so it’s hard to break them down at times. The lads dug in and stuck to the game plan which allowed us to go on and get the win which is the most important thing. You can see the quality in the squad, we’ve got quality on the pitch in the starting 11 and then off the bench too, it’s there in abundance so it is. You can score in the first ten minutes or leave it late, as long as you get the win, that’s the most important thing. We need to kick on now; we know that as a squad we can go on a run, win, draw, win etc. It’s hard to break teams down but we’ve been resilient and held out there for the three points. It’s great and the squad is talented, so it’s hard to get in, especially as I’ve come from Forest Green, so it’s a lot of hard work but when I get the chance, hopefully do enough to keep my place and take the opportunity. Rochdale at the weekend, the most important game before that is get some rest, it’s a busy schedule, and then we’ll start the analysis on them but it’s a game that I would hope we can win.”
