WARNOCK POST SAFC

With his side two points above the drop following the draw against us last night, Neil Warnock was left a bit disappointed similarly to Mowbray. Neil felt as if his side should have come away with all three points and on another day they probably would have.

DISAPPOINTED

“We’re disappointed with not coming away with the full points, but it was a cracking match. Tony Mowbray has a got a really good young side here and a great crowd, but I thought our fans were excellent too – even though they were put up top there, I think the only way down was with a parachute wasn’t it? They were that far up!”

AWAY FANS

“They cheered us on until the end, and we got a good goal but we had some great opportunities to win the game, but not to be. I can’t fault them, like I say at half time I thought we had an extra yard in us and I didn’t think they had, and I thought second half we showed that to be honest. We played it a little bit quicker on the front foot and created a lot more chances.”

MORE AGGRESSIVE

"I didn't want to watch another Swansea where we give them the ball. I said to them, let's get in their faces and if we are man for man and we get done then so what, we have three more games. Let's have a go. We were on the front foot, it was quite exciting the way we played. I said at halftime I thought we could step up another yard, press more onto them and play a bit. We won all the 50-50s and pushed on. Everybody did their job tonight, there wasn't a weakness in the side."

JACK CLARKE APPRECIATION

"He's a cracking player Jack Clarke, I love him, so direct, but Matty has done ever so well. The physios were saying he had better come off, he had a swollen ankle but I was saying we've got a few days off after this, let's get through it. Tonight wasn't going to define whether we stay up but it's a good point and we move on."
