It will by be interesting to see if anything more is made of 'Two Fingergate.' Lee Johnson flashing the Vs to a fan at the end of the game against Oxford.
I witnessed it first hand as the fan was in the row immediately behind me. He shouted at Johnson at the final whistle. Johnson heard him, turned round and as the fan shouted something else, LJ stuck two fingers up to him. That has to be on camera. The fan went then down to pitch side to wait for Johnson to come off at the end and rightly had a go at him for flashing the Vs.
You may have heard the fan on BBC Radio Newcastle after the game? Johnson's reaction is totally unacceptable. It doesn't matter if he feels under pressure (he is and should be). You just can't abuse the supporters. You can ignore them if you don't agree with them but you can't afford to alienate them. I'd like to see the club's reaction to the accusation (that he stuck up two fingers to a fan).
They may just be hoping it goes away but it shouldn't. It can't be overlooked. Johnson was caught red handed (or fingered) by those of us who witnessed it. He (or the club) need to issue an immediate grovelling apology - or Johnson should go now. If he can't stand the heat it's time he was ejected from the kitchen?
