TM PRE BRUM

Ahead of Friday’s matchup away to Birmingham the gaffer has spoke to the press regarding the final game before the World Cup break.

CATCH THEM OFF

“I think when I watch Birmingham I think if there's an advantage to be had it’s that their game is very, very intense, high pressing, high pressure so it’s whether they can replicate what they do week in week out.”

NO SURPRISES

“But for us, does it give us an advantage? Not really. We play the way we’re going to play. Listen, they might adapt the way they play, I'm not sure. So I don't think it's a question about us.”

FOOTBALLING SCHEDULE

“Somebody did say to me this morning that their manager has made some comments about the schedule but I think that's swings and roundabouts really because right at the top level one week it's Pep moaning about something next week it's Klopp moaning about something and it's the Championship managers moaning about stuff now. It’s modern day football you can moan all you want a schedules a schedule.”

NOT LOOKING AT TABLE

“I genuinely don't sit here and think ‘oh we’ll be a point behind Birmingham if we win’ there's so many games to go. I’m not judging our football team at the moment, we're trying our very best to find a way to get positive results with the team we can put on the grass.”

FOCUSING ON POINTS

“You wont get me talking about league position at the moment or even points. The job is to accumulate points in whichever way you can and that's what we’ll be trying to do on Friday but I'm not too fussed about where Birmingham City are in the league.”
