STEWART REFLECTS ON BRACE

Ross Stewart spoke about going top of the league, being the joint-top scorer and looked back on a good win for the lads.

TOP OF THE LEAGUE

“It’s a great feeling, a really big win today obviously in front of home fans to get three goals. A bit disappointed to concede late on but it doesn’t take anything away from a really good performance.”

GOOD START

"Our home form’s going to be huge for us this year, and like you say it’s been a really good start other than that one defeat. So what we’ve got to do now is just keep it going, been a really good start and we’ve just got to build on that and hopefully the wins will keep coming."

FANS

"They’ve been huge for us. They give the lads a big lift and even late on the noise they were making, it really does give everyone in there an extra five or ten percent more that’s needed and I hope they see the hard work that the boys are putting in. If we keep doing that, I'm sure we'll get more wins and keep them happy."

JOINT-TOP SCORER

"I’m just loving my football at the minute. As long as the team’s winning it’s good to chip in with a few goals. Can’t complain, it’s been a really good start and I've got high standards so ill just keep looking to build on that and keep trying to do my bit for the team. The main thing is we keep on winning and hopefully we can keep doing that."

CONTROL

"I think in the first five or ten minutes Wycombe started well, had us penned in a bit and you’d probably say that goal came against the run of play a bit. It gives the boys a lift to know we can score when we’re not on top and I think we built on that really well. Embo gets the second a few minutes later with a great finish and that gives us a great platform to go on and build within the game. After that I thought we controlled it really well and I think Wycombe went direct a lot and the back four dealt with that brilliant most of the day. To get the third late on kind of kills the game and that was a really good moment for myself as well so really pleasing."

REST

"I think we’ve put a lot of work into the first month of the season so it’s probably a wee bit well earned. Obviously we’d like to keep the games coming because we’re on a good run but with [Sheffield] missing, I'm sure the boys will take the few days we’ve got off now to rest up and recharge and we’ll be ready to go again a week on Saturday."
