Today we have been blessed with some positive Thursday morning news thanks to Fabrizio Romano announcing that we have completed an agreement to sign highly rated 18 year old Eliezer Mayenda.
The Spanish forward will be coming to us from FC Sochaux where he became their youngest player to play in a senior game at the age of 16 years, 7 months and 10 days.
He’s someone we’ve been linked to for the past week, and now it seems everything has fallen in place and he will sign for the lads this week. He will definitely be one for the future but it’s nice to see that we are staying active this window as there remains plenty to do before the window slams shut in September.
Sunderland are yet to announce the signing but if Fabrizio Romano says so it's pretty much nailed on to be true.
