ROONEY ON JOBE

Wayne Rooney has described Jobe Bellingham as a 'bright talent' as the exciting midfielder prepares to face his old club Birmingham City this weekend at the Stadium of Light...

JOBE'S FORMER CLUB

"I know of him but I don't know him as a person. I'm sure people will have fond memories of him around the club, but ultimately he's a Sunderland player and we want to beat them on Saturday. It happens all the time in football. Players move on."

NO SPECIAL TREATMENT

"There will be no special treatment, we will prepare for him in the same way as we prepare for the rest of their players. I can't speak on why he left the club, whether that was a club decision or his decision, I don't know."

BRIGHT TALENT

"My focus is on the players who are here. He's a bright talent and I'm sure he has a bright future, but my focus is purely on the players here."

OLDER BROTHER JUDE BELLINGHAM

"What he's doing is incredible. Not just for players here, but for players around the country. When you see a young player have the desire to go to a different country and be successful in Germany, then kick on and go over to Spain with Real Madrid, one of the biggest clubs in the world and do what he's doing, that has to be an inspiration to any young player."
