Sunderland are preparing for their final game in Portugal against Roma before finishing off their pre-season preparations back in the UK. Callum Doyle will be back on Wearside to start the season too…
RUDONI TO HUDDERSFIELD
Jack Rudoni is set to sign for Huddersfield in the coming days, with reports claiming the terriers have tied him down to a four year deal. The 21 year old is thought to be completing his medical soon and then an announcement will follow. There was obviously interest from SAFC but it is good to see they will back out of a deal if they don’t think the price tag is right.
DOYLE SIGNS FOR COVENTRY
Former loanee Callum Doyle has signed with Coventry City on loan this season. After so many appearances for us last season pre Alex Neil, many thought he’d be coming back to Wearside but that’s not the case. Since Neil came in his minutes decreased and I’m guessing Neil won’t miss him too much. He will start the season back on Wearside however, as we face Coventry in the first game of the season at the SoL.
SPURS RAID?
It seems we aren’t finished with Tottenham after some reports have linked us with bringing in young striker Troy Parrott on loan. Parrott spent last year with MK Dons who couldn’t get past Wycombe in the play-offs though Troy did grab a goal in the second leg. He ended the campaign strong as he picked up a few goals and assists. He’s highly rated but it would be interesting to see how he fares to Championship football. Is he ready?
