It’s been a relatively quiet Friday on Wearside, McGeady is edging closer to officially joining Hibs, we’ve been linked with a new forward but nothing too serious as of yet. Some pre-season tickets are also on sale, with some going on sale on Monday.
MCGEADY ONTO A MEDICAL
Subject to a medical, which he is due to complete and be officially signed before Hibs travel to Portugal in their pre-season training camp. Of course the signing would see him team back up with Lee Johnson, who he had a good relationship with at Sunderland.
MORE FORWARD LINKS
A common theme recently has been us being linked with forward players, which is a good thing of course, whether or not Ross Stewart stays or goes we’ve been lacking in depth up top and it almost cost us last season, something Alex Neil will be looking to avoid this season. The newest name to be linked with us is a former Manchester United academy graduate, who most recently played for Derby last season scoring four and assisting four. His contract is up with the Rams and even though he came out and said he would like to stay, surely he’d like to stay in the Championship.
PRE-SEASON TICKETS ON SALE
Sunderland have released tickets for some of our pre-season games and they’ve also announced when the others go on sale. As of right now you can buy tickets for the Bradford tie, which is to be played on Thursday the 23rd of July. Then on Monday tickets for both the Dundee and Accrington games go on sale at 9am and noon respectively. No information has been released about the final pre-season game which is away to Hartlepool.
