NEIL INJURY UPDATE

Alex Neil has provided an update on some of our injured players ahead of the game on Saturday against Cambridge.

PRITCH

“Alex is a lot closer than he had been. He just missed out on the last game so I’d imagine he will feature. We’ve got a couple of bumps and bruises. We just need to assess today between now and tomorrow.”

UNFORTUNATE

“The last injury was two different injuries so it wasn’t a recurrence so there wasn’t really much we could do about that. We did try and protect Al by bringing him off earlier like we did with Broady (Nathan Broadhead) but unfortunately he hurt it before that so have they been difficult? Not really.”

GEADS

"Aiden trained with us yesterday. That was a big step forward for him because he's not been with the main group for a while. Naturally, his first training session was only the beginning but he was on the grass with us and he looked fine, as well.”

FRUSTRATING

“I think what’s probably been frustrating is off memory, I think Broady and Alex have only probably started one game together since I’ve been here which is frustrating because naturally you want as many of the game changers on the pitch as much as you can. To have two guys that have contributed so heavily this season not available at the same time certainly isn’t helpful when you are trying to win matches.”

THORBEN / DOYLE

“Thorben is better. Callum is better albeit he has not had a massive amount of training days so that’s the only concern for him. His has been longer than what Thorben has been. That’s just something we need to cast an eye over.”
