MOWBRAY POST BRISTOL CITY

Tony Mowbray believes that while everyone is right to be disappointed with a point, the team is still moving in the right direction and did enough to win against Bristol City...

CREDIT TO ROBINS

"First and foremost I think we played against a very good, young, athletic team who worked really hard all over the pitch. They played without any centre forwards really to start with, because they knew they were going to have to do a lot of chasing and running. They did, and they were a threat in the transition. We got our noses in front and felt as if we were going to see it out, as we have done recently against teams at home. But it wasn't to be, they get a penalty late on - I haven't really watched it back and I'm not complaining. They were full of legs and running, gave us some problems. We did miss some opportunities to make it two and put the game to bed but it wasn't to be today. We'll put the point in the bag and move onto the next one."

TIGHT LEAGUE

"If we'd have talked at the start of the week about seven points, we'd have probably taken it. It feels like a real kick to the team. Everyone's really disappointed and it's a really quiet dressing room. But we have to be positive, we have to keep going, keep believing. The league is really tight and some teams have dropped points today. Luton got beat at home and Norwich dropped points. As I said, we have to just put the point in the bag and move onto the next game and see how we get on."

POSITIVES TO TAKE

"We've got some really talented individuals and I think teams now are coming very wary of our individuals, and closing parts of the pitch off. It's becoming difficult to find the answer to unlock the door in front of us. And yet we got the amazing goal from Jack, who's doing it on a regular basis now, and obviously Pat (Roberts) has been doing it as well. So we talked about finding other players along the front line to score. It's great that both wide players are scoring goals . Let's just keep going. You're allowed to get disappointed. Going into injury time we concede a penalty and drop two points, but let's give the opposition some credit because they worked really hard and looked athletic. They came with a game plan and made life difficult, and we didn't manage to quite get over the line. But let's move on."

TOUGH SCHEDULE

"We've played a game now every three days for around three weeks. So I think they're really stretched but they keep digging deep. It wasn't us at our scintillating best but we thought we did enough to get over the line today. Unfortunately we didn't quite manage it but we have to accept it. It's not easy for any team to play every three days but we're not the only ones. I think they're doing amazing, the supporters and amazing that stick with the team. It's not a bad sign when you're disappointed with a point."
