Following his return the PSG after the expiration of his loan with us, Edouard Michut has said that he was offered the chance to stay on Wearside but he turned it down for a few reasons.
WHY NOT?
“The club offered me the opportunity to stay. It was my decision to leave Sunderland. We didn’t agree on certain contractual points. There were also a few things in the style of play that didn’t suit me.”
NOT MY STYLE
“I’m more of a player who touches between 80 and 100 balls per game, and in this pattern, I’m at 50-60 maximum. I thank the president for understanding my choice not to stay.”
FUTURE
“Serenely, while waiting to see how things go, I prepare for all eventualities. Paris has not yet finished its Championship; we will see then. My perspective is to continue to flourish, to find the project that suits me the most.”
NO REGRETS
“I thought after the two years I spent at PSG with the pros, I was going to resume training with them when they resumed. That’s not what happened. The only option was for me to leave and thrive. I have no regrets.”
