Mark this day down in your calendars people, for this is a great day in the history of Sunderland AFC, finally Charlie Methven has sold all of his shares in our club and he's gone. Meanwhile KLD’s shares have given him a majority stake in the club. A massive step in the right direction before the start of our Championship campaign.
In a statement published by the club at 8:00am today, the club announced that Charlie Methven has sold all of his shares to Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori. KLD now has the majority ownership of the club with 51% of the club, whilst Sartori has upped his shares to 30% and Stewart Donald has sold some shares taking him down to 19%. What a day.
Hopefully we can say bye to the misinformation about the leadership of the club now and we can see some investment into the squad as the players get set for pre-season.
