Sunderland have confirmed that their Papa John’s Trophy clash with Manchester United U21s will be played at the Stadium of Light on October 13 at 7pm.
The lads will kick off their trophy defence tomorrow night, when they visit Lincoln City. The cup ties will be an opportunity for young players to make an impression, as several key players have been called up to their international teams.
The Red Devils smashed Bradford 3-0 just two weeks ago, and put up a fight against Lincoln who won 3-2, with United having a man sent off.
