LJ PRE BLACKPOOL

Ahead of our trip to Blackpool, Lee Johnson has been assessing our back-to-back defeats against Charlton and Wigan…

LACK OF CONCENTRATION

"I think you have to take each one on their merits. I think the most disappointing thing for me is the lack of concentration that we've shown for the goals if I'm honest with you. Even watching the game back on video, there was a lot of good stuff at Wigan. That's me looking at it objectively rather than subjectively and emotionally after the game. Charlton - I believe we played well enough on the day and deserved to get something but I suppose the frustration is that switching off.”

PERFORMANCE CULTURE

"It's a performance culture and it's got to improve at this football club. I recognised it early when we came in. I feel we've made good strides to do that but for whatever reason, in the last couple of games, performance culture hasn't been concentrated enough. We're one nil up and very much in control in the first-half and conceded in the last five minutes. We've then conceded again and chased it quite poorly on the day which lead to all of our frustration."

PROFESSIONALISM

"I think as a manager you can be judged on that [the ability to refocus players after defeats.] Nobody likes losing football games and neither do I. You try to keep a relatively consistent approach and keep those waves as flat as possible at this end. I've talked about that performance culture and I think we've slipped a little bit on that in the last week or ten days and that's probably what's cost us. Professionalism from the players is important and making sure they're great students as well."
