LJ POST SHREWS

Lee Johnson met the press after seeing his fail to overcome ten-man Shrewsbury Town, despite being ahead when David Davis was sent off…

SLOPPY

"It was disappointing - sloppy - in that 15 minute spell after half-time, and it gave them a feeling that they could get something. It was a quality strike from Udoh, I thought he played well, and he was their spirit. We didn't do enough to stick the knife in when we had it to their jugular. I've made the players very aware of my feelings because we have to maximise situations like that. We earned the position we were in, there were a lot of good things in the first half, it was a really good goal from Pritch, we controlled the play and were quite comfortable. When we play simply, we play well; when we over-complicate it, when people get a little bit excited and fall off the gameplan, it looks a bit sloppy and scruffy.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH

"I just felt we weren't good enough in wide areas. We created the overload but didn't take advantage and it just fizzled out, and we let them off the hook. We're five points off second place with two games in hand so it's not crazy doom and gloom, but what we have to do is follow this draw up with a win [at Cambridge on Saturday] which would make it seven points from three games and that'll look alright. We have to learn our lessons, and we have to learn them pretty quickly.

CHANGES

"We had a few little nicks and knocks going into the game - there were actually three changes tonight from the original side that we had set up with yesterday - but those kind of things sometimes happen, and I think we have the squad to cope with it. The frustration comes with things like the free-kick at the end. [Leon Dajaku] blazed it 15 or 20 yards over the bar when that delivery was important, and you have to show a belief and desire to put that on the money."

TOUCHLINE BAN

"There's no doubt that I have a weakness, and that's my feeling of injustice. I don't want to be in the stand, I want to be down there encouraging my team. It's definitely something I have to look at and be accountable for, and I hold my hands up. At the same time, I've been booked twice for running and appealing - not bad language - and that's disappointing. Whether or not it would have changed anything today, I don't know. I was still linked up and had good communication with the bench, and everyone understands where we are and what we do."
