LJ GOES BACK TO BASICS

Lee Johnson has spoken about the need to do the simple things well as he calls for the team to bounce back from a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Rotherham...

BRAVERY

"I can guarantee that the XI that starts will be the ones that, when I go to sleep at night, I'm going to trust to run around, to sprint, to tackle, and will use their physicality the best that they possibly can, and that if doesn't go right for them for two or three passes, they are going to continue to be brave and get on the ball."

SIMPLE

"That simplification of what we do and how we need to do it really has to get us on the front foot and make sure we play a lot better than we did on Saturday."

HONESTY

"It's very easy to hand out home truths after a game like that but we're pretty honest anyway," he said. We have got a couple of problems that need resolving, but so does every other squad in the land. We knew we had to compete, and we didn't, and that's what was so frustrating. It was too laissez-faire from the first action and that was all said, and taken on, to be fair.

PERSONALITIES

"We genuinely want the best for these lads. I've not got one personality clash in that squad, or in the staff, everyone is desperate for their mate next them to succeed."
