KIMPIOKA SIGNS NEW ONE YEAR DEAL



Sunderland have announced that Benji Kimpioka has signed a new one year deal at the club; the Swedish youngster has been training back in his homeland after becoming a free agent when he rejected an initial contract offer to stay on Wearside, however, the academy product has extended his stay in the North East for this campaign.

Phil Parkinson said, "We’re very pleased that Benji’s contract situation has been resolved, now, it’s up to him to work hard and push his way into the first-team picture.” The gaffer had previously made clear that he was ‘keen’ for Kimpioka to stay at the Stadium of Light and had said that there was definitely a ‘possibility of first team football’
