Sunderland’s goalkeeper coach, Lee Butler, has left the club to be reunited with Phil Parkinson at Wrexham. We are now looking to recruit his replacement.
Lee Johnson said: “Lee has been a great personality around the club and we thank him for his contribution. We all wish him the very best in his next venture.”
Phil Parkinson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Lee Butler to the Club as goalkeeping coach. He’s someone Steve and I have worked with at previous clubs and I know he’s a very good coach, but also a great character and personality and he’s a very good addition to the staff. I always say with Lee that he’s worked with a lot of goalkeepers in his career, and has always helped them progress – that’s obviously important – but he’ll offer more than just the goalkeeping coach role, he’s an integral part of the staff.”
