INTERNATIONAL CALLUPS CONFIRMED

Amad Diallo has been called up to the senior Ivory Coast squad, whilst Anthony Patterson is in England's U21 squad for the first time. Edouard Michut and Abdoullah Ba have both been selected for France's U20s for the upcoming international break.

Amad, having scored eight goals for the Lads this season, already has two international caps to his name. He will look to add to that, as his country is set to face Comoros twice this month.

Jean-Louis Gasset's squad will host the small island nation on Friday 24 March in Bouake, before visiting Moroni on Tuesday 28 March for the reverse fixture. These games are part of Group H of the African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

French duo Michut and Ba have both represented their country at Under-19 level, and will now compete in Marbella against the USA (March 22), Netherlands (March 25), and finally England (March 28) for the U20's this time.

22-year-old Patterson has played every game for Sunderland in the Championship this season, keeping 11 clean sheets so far. Outstanding performances have led to Premier League interest, and he will now join England's youth setup for the first time.

Ba scored his first Sunderland goal away at Norwich, in the Black Cats' 1-0 win at Carrow Road. Michut then scored his first goal for the club in the following game, in the 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United at the Stadium of Light.
