INJURY CRAIC PRE BORO

Tony Mowbray has issued an update on the injures trio of Alex Pritchard, Aji Alese and Eliezer Mayenda ahead of tomorrow's game at the Stadium of Light.

NOT RISKING PRITCH

"I think it will be the same squad. I don't think it is worth us risking Pritchard."

ALESE/MAYENDA

"The pleasing thing is that Aji [[Alese] has been back on the training pitch every day now for the last three or four days, Eliezer Mayenda is back on the training pitch looking really strong and powerful."

BUILD THEM UP

"They are not ready, they need to play an U21 game over the next week or two, but they are not far away. As with most football clubs, you pick up a few injuries, others come back, and that cycle rolls on.

IN A DECENT PLACE

"That's why you have to keep them all playing, they have to play U21 games, they have to train in the afternoons and keep their loads up and doing the meterage so that when they are asked to play in the first team, they are ready and there are no excuses for them. We're alright, we're in a decent place, but every coach would want all of their squad fit all of the time and yet that is never the case."
