HUME POST HATTERS

Trai Hume is adamant that nothing is achieved yet, and the Lads will go to Luton on Tuesday aiming for nothing but another win to send us to Wembley.

CLASH OF STYLES

“I thought it was a good all-round performance. Obviously the result was what we wanted, we wanted to win and go there with a lead. I thought they had chances, they obviously scored the goal, they’re big and physical which is what we’re not. We’re technical and we’re small. But we scored from two set pieces today, so it’s nice!”

ATHLETIC OPPOSITION

“If you look at their two strikers they’re both massive, the centre halves are big but also athletic, it’s not as if they can’t move. They’re fast and quick, they passed it about today as well - they’re good on the ball which you can’t take away from them, they’re a good side. But obviously we’re now going there on Tuesday hoping to win the game.”

HUME GOAL

“We’d been working on set pieces throughout the week, and I knew that when Clarkey gets it he’s going to try to shift it out of his feet and put it in. Obviously I was just in the right area to guide it in the net.”

GET ANOTHER WIN

“Definitely nothing has been achieved yet. We’ve won today but we have to go there on Tuesday and it’s like we have to win again. We don’t want to draw, we want to take the game to them. We’ll try and win the game and hopefully it takes us to Wembley.”

PLAYING CENTRE HALF

“I’ve said it before, I’ll always do a job for the team, it doesn’t matter where I’m playing. I’ll give my best no matter where it is. Goochy was playing on the left side of a back three today and he gave everything for the team as well. So we’re just going to have to fill in while we’re short in some places but it worked out alright today.”

FANS

“I’m sure it wasn’t only me and a few people who had a few hairs raised when they walked out today. The atmosphere was top and it’s the last home game before next season. If we win on Tuesday and go to Wembley it’s still our last home game. But I thoroughly enjoyed it and the fans were amazing as always.”

ONTO TUESDAY

“I’m sure it’ll be even harder. It’s their home, it’s a tight pitch with the stadium close to the pitch. I don’t want to say hostile but it’ll be a bit rowdy, we’re going to have to go there, dig in, do what we do and try to win the game.”
