In what has unfortunately been a recurring theme this season, Broady has seen his chances limited due to injuries. Another opportunity goes missing with him having to watch Wales play their World Cup Play-off final and Nations League fixtures from home next month.
He was a doubt for both play-off semi final matches against Sheffield Wednesday, missing the first and coming off the bench in the other, and that carried out to the final where he didn’t start but he replaced Ross Stewart and saw us over the line.
I’m sure the news will be devastating for Broadhead but he’ll get his chance, and when he does I hope he smashes it. Whether he’s a Sunderland player or not. Hopefully he can find a way to negate his injury issues and he’ll be a great addition to any team in the EFL.
Wales have brought in Ipswich’s Wes Burns and Cardiff’s Oli Denham as replacements.
