22-year-old Josh Hawkes completed a permanent switch to Prenton Park yesterday, where he had spent the season on loan before being recalled earlier this month due to Covid cases. On loan, he played 17 games for Tranmere, scoring one goal and contributing three assists. Hawkes joined from Hartlepool in 2021 but in his time at the club only managed a solitary senior goal in a cup game against Port Vale. In a Twitter statement, Hawkes praised Kristjaan Speakman and Lee Johnson and expressed his regret at not getting more first team opportunities.
