Sunderland have announced the loan signing of Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United, on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Gelhardt is a left-footed striker who began his career at Wigan, before being sold to Leeds in 2020. He will wear the number 28 during his time on Wearside.
He is the third January arrival after Pierre Ekwah and Issac Lihadji. He has already trained with his new teammates at the Academy of Light on Friday morning, before the signing was officially made public.
