Alex Neil had his first pre match press conference ahead of our game on Sunday against Coventry City at home. A key focal point in the presser was transfers, which led Neil to say we could have another before kick-off.

"We're trying to do our work as quickly as possible. Between now and the end of the window we have seven [league] games, which is a sixth of your season. What we don't want to do is only get up to full strength after six or seven games - naturally you want to go into each game as competitive and as strong as you can be. Unfortunately, we are not going to be at full strength.”

"When that happens, I'm not quite sure but obviously we want that to happen sooner rather than later and we're trying to do as much as we can in between times. If you look at a lot of the clubs in the league, not many of them have done all their business. Cardiff have probably added the most, they have done a lot of work, Huddersfield have added a few as well, but you have teams like ourselves, like Middlesbrough and some other ones who you know need to strengthen between now and the end of the window.”

“Will there be someone in before Saturday? There’s every chance. Might they be involved at the weekend? It would depend on how they looked. It depends how many days we get on the grass with them. For instance, if we managed to get someone training a couple of days prior to the game, then potentially we might put them in (to the squad). It would depend on the position they play well, in terms of how much cover we’ve got in that area. It depends on how we’re going to go about the game too, so there’s a whole host of things that go into that, but I certainly wouldn’t rule it out.”
