"I think footballers generally understand the importance of big games, and they should be ready. Their family and friends would’ve text them beforehand, it doesn’t need a team talk. It’s about keeping the players calm, and sticking to your game plan. The supporters need to be aware that the team is present, and fighting for the club."
INJURY CRAIC
"You don’t want to hear about our new injuries, our squad is stretched at the moment, but I believe we’ve got a very talented group of players that can cause Middlesbrough problems. We’re respectful of their qualities, but I’m sure it will be a good game with all the tension a derby brings. Hopefully, we come out on the right end of it."
AMAD
"Amad has done exceptionally well, he’s earned the right to play every game. That’s down to nothing other than his talent, and his performance level is extremely high. He went through a goal scoring purple patch, he’s a real threat to the opposition, and when players stick a leg in he dances past them.
