Interim head coach, Mike Dodds, has spoken to the media as he prepares to take charge of the lads when we host West Brom.
RESPONSIBILITY
“My responsibility now is to execute our plan and I'm looking forward to both games. I feel in a much better spot than where I was previously when I took the team and feel a lot more self-assured, and a lot more confident in terms of where we're going with the team. The fact I've been with the players for a period of time makes it a lot easier this time around, so there hasn't been a huge amount of change.”
IMPORTANT GAME
“The message has been that we have a really important game against a really good team and we can't let people down, so we've got to be fully prepared. They are a good group and we've fully prepared everything - couldn't have gone any better than planned, we're in a good spot. They are professional and although we have a young team, they have all been educated properly so they're professional in terms of their focus.”
DETERMINED GROUP OF LADS
“The club have done an outstanding job at recruiting the right type of young men and their focus for Saturday has been really good. I think the club have recruited some really good young players, not just talent, but also in terms of their personalities. They have the desire to improve and take this club or themselves into the Premier League.”
WEST BROM
“I've come up against Carlos (Coberan) quite a lot, he's a good coach and tactician - how he'll set his team up come kick-off and how it will look at the final whistle will be different because that's the way he operates. He's tactically very bright and they have some good players, they are in the play-off positions and they're a hard team to play against.”
CHALLENGING TASK
“They have the best defensive away record in the league, so we know what we're coming up against and it's our responsibility to get the crowd behind us and leave the stadium happy come Saturday afternoon.”
