“I think for me, I always looked to the football in England. I always wanted to come here to play football in England so when I heard that I could come here to play football it was for me, the right step to come here. I think it’s the strong football and the football is fast. They play fast which is what I like.”

“I think Sunderland is a club that normally have to be on the big stage. So this is why I chose to come here. For me, Sunderland is a big club.”

“Of course, this is why I have come here. To play well and with my football style, to make the team a little bit better and to go up.”

“The youth football and the men’s football is a different thing. In the youth you can play easier than in men's football so you have to be stronger when you play with the first team, and faster in your head. I think this is important to bring with you when playing with the first team.”
EXPERIENCES
“When I played my first game for Stuttgart I was 17 and it was amazing. But also when I got my first game at Bayern it was like when I started my first game in Stuttgart, it was crazy! With all the fans and a great stadium, it was fantastic.”

“For me it was unbelievable to see the players like Thiago, Kimmich, Gnabry, Neuer, it was amazing. It was like a film, it was crazy.”

“I speak a lot with Kimmich and Thomas Muller, who pushed me always to give 100%. But also it was important to see how players like this are in the training, how professional they are because they are big players and it’s interesting to see this.”

“In Bayern it was a great time with a lot of titles. I hope to bring this luck here and also win a lot of titles.”
STYLE OF PLAY
“I think I am the player who likes to go one-against-one, I have a good tempo, a good shot. I like to get in the box and shoot, go one-on-one. That’s my style of football. My favourite position is on the right wing.”
FANS
“I think I saw some games and I saw the fans, it’s crazy how many fans come! It’s the first division and they have so many fans, it’s unbelievable. This is what I like, to have the fans who push you in the game and it’s important.”
NATIONAL TEAM
“I think for me it’s important to play a lot here and play well, to have some good games with the team and then I think I can go again at a good level with the national team. But for me first it's important to play well ere and then I think the call-up will come.”
FIRST MATCH
“I'm very happy that I'm here and I will look forward and train hard for the next two weeks. I’ll be happy when the game comes and I see all the fans, and I hope we will play the game very well and stay in first place.”
