The World Cup nears, and with one game to go all eyes should be on Birmingham but before we get there we have had some positive news for when the Lads get back.
ROSS STEWART BACK IN TRAINING
Much to the delight of all of us our precious Ross Stewart has been pictured in training, albeit on his lonesome. But he's back out on the grass and it is a beautiful sight to see. By the time the Millwall game comes around our starting eleven could look vastly different to the one that will play Birmingham. With the likes of Gooch, Ballard, Alese, Michut and the suspended O’Nien all set to make their comebacks post World Cup.
INTERNATIONAL CALL UPS
Whilst Sunderland won’t be playing during the World Cup break a few of our Lads are going to be heading off to Qatar to represent their country. Both Bailey Wright and Jewison Bennette have been called up for Australia and Costa Rica.
We are also due some money for our boys going away to Qatar, as you may remember we mentioned a few weeks ago that we will be sharing money with Bennette’s old club Herediano for having a player go to the World Cup that was owned by your team in the last two years. The sum we receive is £9,000 per player and with Bailey Wright going too we should receive about £13,500 for the pair, obviously we’d get the full lot for Bailey as he’s been ours for long enough.
