CLARKE POST NORWICH

Understandably, Jack Clarke was all smiles after a sensational performance against Norwich which bumped his tally up to nine goals this season.

BOUNCED BACK

“It was good. We knew we needed to bounce back after the last few results. Obviously we thought we performed well against Leicester but they are a good team and we couldn’t quite get the job done there. But especially after Stoke we knew we had to bounce back and today was a perfect performance from us.”

PERFORMANCES BEEN GOOD

“The points are most important for us but the manager keeps saying that if we keep performing how we’re performing then the points will come. Today they came so we’re happy for that and we’ll use it going into the next game.”

PENALTY DUTIES

“Thankfully I keep putting them away so I’m happy about that! I’m sure at one point someone else might step forward and want to take one or whatever else. But at the minute it’s me and I’m quite confident over the ball at the minute.”

NINE FOR THE SEASON

“That’s due to the players I’m playing against and the system we’re playing. I’ve got a lot of freedom when I’m playing and the team’s creating a lot of chances, I’m just managing to put them away. That’s a credit to them and credit to the work the staff are doing as well.”

START OF A RUN

“We’ll use it as the start of something. Obviously we’ll rest up and go again next week, and hopefully we can build on today’s result. We’ll take whatever we use today into next week and see how far this run can take us.”

ONTO SWANSEA

“We’ll be back on Monday and we’ll be prepping straight away to be honest. I think the staff already have their eyes on next week’s game and we’ll want to go there, impose ourselves and hopefully get another three points.”
