Born on this day is Sunderland defender Ollie Younger. The versatile youngster can play at both centre back and right back, signing for the lads in September 2020.
Younger never made a senior appearance for the Clarets, but made his debut for Sunderland in a 2-1 EFL Trophy loss to Fleetwood in November 2020. Despite being a centre back by trade, Younger played right back in that game. He continued to feature semi-regularly in the competition, as the lads went on to beat Tranmere at Wembley and win their first piece of silverware since 1973.
The young defender made his League One debut in March 2021, again filling in at right back. It came in a 2-0 win over Rochdale, and remains his only league appearance at senior level.
