BELLINGHAM SIGNS

We have marked the opening day of the transfer window by agreeing to make our second signing of the season in the form of Jobe Bellingham from Birmingham City. The move will be finalised once Jobe returns from international duty with the England Under-18’s.

He only made his debut in January 2022, aged 16. Over the course of last season he made 22 appearances in the Championship.

The Bellingham parents must be full with pride today, this morning it was announced that older brother Jude is joining European giants Real Madrid, and then of course Jobe joining us.

Upon agreeing to come to Wearside Jobe said:

“I’m delighted to sign for Sunderland AFC and I can’t wait to get started. The opportunity for young players to move here and progress is clear, so I believe this is the perfect Club for me to continue my development. I’m grateful to everyone at Birmingham City for their support over the past 11 years and I wish them the best for the future, as I begin the next chapter of my career at the Stadium of Light.”
