Dan Ballard, who has been immense this season spoke after the 1-1 draw against Bristol at home this afternoon. He feels that we were unfortunate not to come away with the three points, but we carry on the good form to Tuesday against Rotherham.
UNFORTUNATE
“I thought we had quite a slow start to the game, first half was quite scrappy and it took us a while to get going but I think you see that quality in the second half and we created enough chances to win the game and as a team we felt comfortable we would see it out and it was just an unfortunate incident that cost us the two points.”
SLIGHTLY DISSAPPOINTED
“Yeah I think we’ve been on a great run of form and it shows that we’re disappointed with a point which shows how far we’ve come and the great run we’re on. It’s another point on the board, we’re gonna keep pushing, we’re still on a good run, we feel confident and we’re going to try win every game.”
BETTER TEAM
“Yeah I thought we was the better team definitely, we probably deserved the three points so as long as we keep putting in the performances the points will come with it, obviously it wasn’t the case today but a big 15/16 games left this season and if we perform like that every game we’ll pick up a lot of points.”
FATIGUE
“Yeah I think it does take a toll on the players like the first half today, there can be spells when we’re a bit flat but we recognised that at half time and the lads have got to give a little bit more but it’s hard when the bodies and minds are tired but that’s why we made a few changes in the week and we’ll probably do the same again this week so it’s about the whole squad.”
GOOD AWAY FORM
“We’ve probably been even better away from home so we’re going to be going there looking to win the game as we have done for a lot of the games recently, it’s going to be a tough one but we’re going to have to bring maximum effort again like we did against QPR and hopefully we can get a result.”
