ALS NEWS ROUNDUP

As we gear up for the Championship returning on Wearside, here's what's been in the news today...

BORO GAME MOVED

Sunderland vs Middlesbrough has been moved and will be shown on Sky. The fixture was originally scheduled for 3pm on Saturday January 21st, but has been moved back to Sunday, January 22nd at midday.

AMAD NOMINATED

Amad Diallo has been nominated for the Vertu Motors Championship Player of the Month for November. He scored great goals in wins against Huddersfield and Birmingham, and has attracted the attention of his parent club Manchester United. Amad will go head-to-head against Coventry City's Victor Gyokeres, Middlesbrough’s Chuba Akpom, Preston North End’s Ched Evans, Sheffield United’s Anel Ahmedhodzic and West Bromwich Albion’s Kyle Bartley.

LOANEE TO RETURN?

Ellis Taylor is on loan from SAFC at Hartlepool United, but has struggled for minutes this season. Interim manager Keith Curle said he will speak with Sunderland to discuss the proposition of Taylor returning to Wearside. He admitted that, while he's still currently with Hartlepool, the player hasn't gained the desired experience from the loan move. If the opportunity comes up for him to go and play games elsewhere "he's got to take it".
