Injury Update

Jack Ross reckons Charlie Wyke could be ready to join his squad as early as the end of this month. Wyke was injured just days prior to his move to SAFC and it was reported the 25 year old would miss up to 6 weeks with a knee injury but Ross is hopeful the striker will be involved sooner than that. “I am hoping by the end of the month - the physio will probably tell you different! I hope we have him around the squad by then." Explained Ross. “He is desperate to get back involved, Jerome too, and watching that game you can understand why they are desperate to get back because we are playing in positive manner and getting in good areas. If I am a striker, I’d be thinking I’d score goals in that team playing in that way.”

In other injury news we could also see the return of Dylan McGeouch in time to face Scunthorpe this Sunday while a host of others are well on their way back to full fitness. “Glenn certainly and Adam certainly will be back for the weekend,” said Ross. “Ethan was on the bench on Thursday night as he only trained on Wednesday, but he should train again on Friday and should be fine. Dylan is edging ever closer and I can’t say for certain, but I’m hopeful he may be involved on Sunday as well. Guys like Jerome, Charlie, Tom and Donald are way ahead of schedule, and it’s encouraging for me to see that individual desire to get back quicker."
