TRANSFER OUTGOINGS

As you may already know, Regis and his recruitment team are in no rush to sign players this month. Whilst they are aware we could strengthen, they feel that we aren't in a desperate situation so there isn't as much urgency required as there was in the Summer. In terms of any potential outgoings though, RLB is open to several lads finding new clubs including the likes of Luke O'Nien and Dan Neil who collectively have over half a century of appearances for the lads.

O'NIEN DEPARTUE

“We have to think about everything with him [O’Nien]. It is not only about game time, it is about the work that goes on behind the scenes and everything else that is important there."

MORE THAN JUST A PLAYER

“It is a tough balance. Sometimes, a player can have an ambition on one side of wanting to play, but then on the other side we might know how important they can be in the dressing room. That will be part of the discussion, definitely. We will have conversations with everyone who has been having less game time. It’s always really open. Everything has to be discussed because, at the end of the transfer window, it is better to avoid frustrations. The conversations will take place, and then after that, we will decide.”

DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN

“The conversation is open for every player who likes minutes. It’s always the case”

SAFC COMES FIRST

“The most important thing is the club project. This is the first project, the first idea. After that, depending on the situation, if we can expect for the second part of the season, that the player won’t play a lot, it means that you can find a solution, and you have to find another club with a good project as well. So I still say that it’s important to stay open, to avoid misunderstandings and if it’s clear for everyone, after that you can move forward.”
