TIL THE END, AGAIN

It finished level with Spurs, but the story of the evening was Sunderland’s capacity to respond — and the supporters’ refusal to ever let standards drop.
The first half was undeniably subdued. Sunderland were cautious, slightly off the tempo, and allowed Spurs too much control. Yet even during that flatter spell, the Sunderland support never wavered. The fans were magnificent once again, providing energy and belief when it was most needed, reminding everyone that this club is never short of voice or conviction, wherever it plays.
The second half, however, was a complete reversal. Sunderland emerged with purpose, intensity, and a renewed sense of self. The press was sharper, the movement braver, and the intent unmistakable. What had been hesitant became assertive, and the momentum swung accordingly.
At the centre of it all was Brobbey, who delivered his moment with both force and precision. Powering through the defence, he struck the ball with such authority it seemed destined not just for the net, but for the upper tiers of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium itself. He is a physical phenomenon - a tank by nature, armed with a foot that resembles a traction engine more than a footballer’s boot.
The draw felt less like a compromise and more like a statement of intent. Sunderland adjusted, improved, and refused to accept the narrative of the first half.
This is a side that responds. This is a club that persists. We will never give in. Til the end.
